A)I chose the website NetFlix

B) I chose Netflix because it is the leader in online subscriptions for DVD renting. I think that the companies key to success has been their amazing user interface. The site is easy to navigate. You can search movies by genre, actor, director, etc.

C) The site is useful because it provides users with recommendations and encourages them to rate films to promote better recommendations. With such a large subscription population, Netflix's recommendations are top-notch and keep people staying. The site offers previews for every movie and for every movie it gives an estimate of what your rating of the movie would be based on users who rate similarly to you.

D)The information given by Netflix is not overwhelming because you are not forced to rate. Furthermore, it only gives about 10 recommendations for every movie you choose to put in your waiting list to be mailed.

E) A competitor is BlockBuster

F) Blockbuster is a fierce competitor because it has stores located throughout the country. Therefore users, if in dire need of a movie do not need wait for the mail to come in order to obtain the DVD. Furthermore, Blockbuster also allows you to drop off the DVDs that you've watched to the store instead of mailing them back. Lastly, Blockbuster gives out coupons for free in store movie rentals so that users have alot of flexiblity with their subscription. The site ultimately promotes that really well and succeeds at attracting less internet saavy customers or those who are looking for more options.

Why I chose my companies.

I chose 2 companies
-American Express and At&t

I chose these two companies because I used to be apart of both of them and no I no longer am.

I thought it was interesting how CEOS are so interconnected. This is why the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor.

Being sick is terrible in Boston. It's terrible to have to wake up early, its terrible to have to pay attention in classes and its terrible to have to stay up at night working on work when all you can think about is your groggy head.
Already, my first few weeks back I got sick. However, antibiotics have been working wonders and no longer are my ailments killing me.

I can't help but admit that being back is amazing. I love all the things that Boston has to offer and do. When I went home for the summer, at first I experienced a blissfull peace that every summer offers after finals are completed. Yet, then I wondered what I was to do with my time. Hanging out with my friends was fun but Long Island is a limited place, besides "chillen"theres not much to do other than the beach or shop haha. However, I must admit that my first few months in Long Island were amazing.

I forgot how much I missed having a family and a support system that feels so permanent and strong. It was nice to bond again with my family. Sometimes i debate whether or not I am going to come back for the summer. A big reason why I would want to come back would be because I want my neices to know their Uncle Kurt. Leaving for that one year of school almost made them forget about me. I remember my 5 year old neice calling me and asking if I died. With tears in my eyes, I told her no I didn't I was just in school really far away. Although she may not understand for a long time what college really is, I want her to understand that I do love her and miss her while living in Boston.

To think... I went away thinking I wouldn't miss nothing but in so many ways I live multiple lives. I miss Boston after i'm home for awhile and I miss home when times get rough here. I guess thats apart of growing up. However, I am going to enjoy my time at BU as much as possible this sophomore year. I love how everything is not brand new anymore, it brings a smile to my face knowing I still have more time to come as well.

So for at least 3 more years: Boston is home.
